Local Priorities Anti Social Behaviour Message

Please review the following update regarding Anti Social Behaviour which some members around this area have highlighted as an issue of concern on the Met Engage priority survey.

 

On 20th FEBRUARY 2026 at 0815hrs , PCSO RUSU 7047NW and PCSO PADILLA 7117NW from EDGWARE SNT were on foot patrol along STATION ROAD, EDGWARE when PCSO RUSU 7047NW spotted a van parked illegal on the white hatched lane near to junction with HALE LANE. Further checks came up with the vehicle has no insurance and road tax expired. Driver was inside of the coffee shop to drink his coffee and when he came back to his van, officers challenged him and was questioned further if he is aware is no insurance , road tax expired on the van , and is illegal parked.

Driver was aware that he has no insurance , no entitled to drive the van ,and has informed officers that he will call his friend which is the registered keeper of the van to pay for a temporary insurance. As the CAD was created, PC AYERS-HARRIS 1407NW has attended to location to help PCSO'S . Further checks on the driver came up with immigration offences.

PC AYERS-HARRIS 1407NW arrested the driver at location and accompanied by PCSO PADILLA 7117NW , subject was transported on a mini-bus to COLINDALE POLICE station.

Over the last week PCSO RUSU 7047NW and PCSO PADILLA 7117NW came across with multiple ASB's in the area of EDGWARE and the results are as follows:

Three ASB WARNING NOTICE issued for cycling on the pavement
One ASB WARNING NOTICE issued to one male for drinking alcohol inside of ST MARGARET CHURCH
Three FPN'S issued to drivers of vehicles obstructing one way traffic system
One CPN issued for a male causing ongoing ASB outside of BROADWALK SHOPPING CENTRE
One tow truck reported for not having business insurance and ROAD TAX expired
One delivery driver reported for not having business insurance and MOT expired from DECEMBER 2025.
One vehicle driver reported for MOT failed on 5th FEBRUARY and driving with one dangerous advisory.
8+ vehicles reported for having MOT , ROAD TAX expired or without insurance.
All the vehicles reported were parked illegal on STATION ROAD where taxi bay it is

We encourage members of public to report any suspicious activity in EDGWARE by calling 101 for non-emergencies and 999 for emergencies.
